Trey returns to Covenant this year as one of four sophomores representing the Scots golf team this season. In his freshman year, Trey was named to the All-Tournament teams at the Piedmont Invitational (2011) and the Emmanuel Invitational (2012). Prior to Covenant, he golfed for Chattahoochee where he earned the Cougar Award in his senior season. He also gained a lot of experience golfing independently on many junior tours.
His parents are John and Laura Patterson. He has a younger brother, Kyle, and a younger sister, Jenna. When he is not golfing, Trey enjoys playing FIFA, eating lots of food, and playing the guitar. One of his favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 30:21 which says, "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'”
Trey is an Interdisciplinary Studies major, focusing on Coaching, Sports Management, and Sociology. After graduation, he would like to be a caddy on the PGA Tour.
