|High School:||Westminster Christian Academy|
Cameron returns to Covenant this year as one of four sophomores representing the Scots golf team this season. In his freshman year, Cameron participated in the NCCAA National Tournament. Prior to Covenant, he golfed for Westminster Christian Academy where he made All-State (So., Jr., Sr.) and finished in the Top 5 in State competition (Jr., Sr.). In the summers before his junior and senior years of high school, he had 12 first place finishes, 5 second place finishes, and 2 third place finishes in AJGO tournaments.
His parents are Carter and Sandra-Metzger Lewis. He has three older siblings: Fred, Ced, and Shannon. Fred and Ced played collegiate basketball at the University of Alabama Huntsville and Shannon ran track at Georgia Tech. When Cameron is not golfing he enjoys playing the electric guitar, sleeping, and eating good food. One of his favorite Bible passages is Romans 8:5-17 which includes, "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory" (vv. 14-17).
Cameron is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business and Physical Education. Some of his career aspirations after graduating from Covenant are: becoming a professional golfer, sports psychologist, or family/marriage counselor.
