Future Covenant Scot Finishes 9th in Alabama State 2A Golf Tournament
Posted May 13, 2010HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Cameron Lewis, senior from Westminster Christian School in Huntsville, Alabama who has committed to play for the Covenant College Scots in the fall of 2010, finished 9th in the Alabama 2A State golf tournament this past week with scores of 77-77 for a two day total of 154. The event was played at the prestigious Hampton Cove development on the Highlands course, a Robert Trent Jones design just east of Huntsville.
Covenant Men's Golf Team Ends Season At Emory Invitational
Posted April 18, 2010Atlanta, GA- The Stone Mountain Golf Club played host to the Emory Invitational golf tournament last weekend, and amongst the field of competitors were Covenant golfers Trevor Potts, Jon Jon Spencer, David Spencer, Dave Wilkinson, and Anthony Sligh. These five Scots entered the competition on the back-end of several disappointing results on the spring season, but were hoping to reverse their fortunes and finish the 2009-2010 year on a high note.

Posted March 11, 2010Clarkesville, GA- For the second time in the 2009-2010 season, Covenant's golf team traveled to Clarkesville, Georgia to play in Piedmont College's semi-annual golf tournament held at The Orchard Golf and Country Club. During their first trip September 21-22 of 2009, the competition was cut short due to unrelenting rain, and the teams were only able to play through one round of the would be 36-hole event. This week, however, the weather was nice, and each team was given a perfect opportunity to play quality golf.
Scots Struggle in First Spring Event, Place 14th of 15
Posted March 3, 2010Pine Mountain, GA- The Scots opened their spring season in Pine Mountain, Georgia playing in the Callaway Invitational which is played at the past PGA tour stop, Callaway Gardens. Senior Trevor Potts started his spring season with a solid 74 and found himself in 8th place after round 1. The course was soft and played very long, a good match for the long hitting Potts. However, the rest of the Covenant squad struggled and yielded its worse team score this year at 328 in the first round.
Wilkinson Takes 14th at NCCAA National Tournament

Posted September 24, 2009Coach Tom Schreiner received word today from the commissioner of the NCCAA National Tournament that three Covenant Scots golfers have earned berths into the national tournament to be held in Panama City, Florida on October 12-13. Senior Trevor Potts and juniors Dave Wilkinson and David Spencer will all participate in the 54 hole tournament to be played over 36 holes on Monday with the concluding 18 holes on Tuesday.

The Scots got off to less than their best start in the two day event in Pineville, Kentucky with a first day score of 324. David Spencer led all Scots on day 1 with an opening 77 followed by Dave Wilkinson's 79.
