Home Event Staff (0 opening)
Provide assistance to the Athletic Department by directing and coordinating game operations during athletic events. Assigned duties will be based on individual qualifications and may include: front gate, concessions, scoreboard operation, announcing or team leader. Applicants must be available on evenings and weekends (no Sundays).
Intramural Referee (0 openings)
Organize, coordinate, schedule, and maintain an active,
functioning intramural office. Schedule intramural games,
tournaments, and events. Train, schedule, and supervise referees
for all intramural contests. Maintain and care for all intramural
equipment. Distribute intramural equipment during designated open
gym or free play times. Applicants should have a basic
understanding of team sports. Applicants must be available on
evenings with limited weekend work required (no Sundays).
Applicants must have general athletic knowledge and the ability to tape ankles or willingness to learn. Applicants must be available on weekends (no Sundays), evenings including all home games and away games as available.

INTERNSHIPS: all positions are unpaid
The Covenant Athletic Department offers a tremendous opportunity as we seeking to utilize interns in every aspect of athletic administration. Covenant interns are considered valuable members of the athletic staff. Interns are given the opportunity to learn a great deal about their specific area of interest while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the successful overall operation of a NCAA Division III athletic program.

Athletic Administration Internship (summer only)
This is a well rounded internship experience designed for a student who has the career aspiration of working in college athletics. The selected intern will be mentored by either the Director of Athletics or the Assistant Director of Athletics. The components of this experience will include weekly lunch with administrators and coaches to discuss current issues in collegiate athletics. Career counseling, including resume review and interview practice will also be offered. The intern will be offered exposure to areas including: marketing, promotions, event management, facility management, compliance, personnel supervision etc. Night and weekend work will be rare. Specific work hours are flexible.
Marketing & Promotions Internship (fall,
spring, summer)
The game-day promotional interns will support the athletic
marketing staff with game-day set up/ breakdown and execution of
in-game promotions for all sports. The marketing &
promotions interns are responsible for promoting Covenant athletics
on campus and in the community. Candidates must be professional and
reliable and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
An ideal candidate should have an interest in a potential career in
sports marketing, promotions, or other related field and have some
knowledge or interest in college athletics. Weekend and evening
hours are required.
Sports Information Internship:

Writing (fall, spring, summer)
The Covenant College Department of Athletics is seeking highly
motivated, well-organized individuals to serve as design and
multimedia interns to join the exciting world of sports
information. The interns will assist the Sports Information office
with coverage of the college's 20 sport athletics program. The
interns will also serve as writers and editors for the department's
website as well as for game programs and other printed pieces. The
interns will be involved in the record book and other historical
archiving projects. They will gain hands-on experience using Adobe
Photoshop, Stat crew and other computer programs. The interns will
be expected to assist the Sports Information staff at a number of
athletic events during their tenure. Applicants may be required to
work weekend and evening hours.
