Meredith Atwood will begin her 13th year as an Athletic Trainer at Covenant College in the 2017-18 academic year. She first started at Covenant as an assistant athletic trainer in 2005 before taking over as Head Athletic Trainer in 2007.
Atwood earned her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine from Marietta College in 2003 and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Health and Human Performance: Advanced Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga graduating in 2005. She is a BOC certified athletic trainer and hold State Licensure in both Georgia and Tennessee.
“I greatly enjoy working as an athletic trainer at Covenant College and being a part of a Christian athletic department," said Atwood of her tenure at Covenant. "My aim is to provide quality medical care to every athlete who seeks our services. I want to create an environment that is welcoming and have an athletic training room where athletes can feel confident in the care they will receive.”
She was born and raised in Maine and currently lives in Chattanooga, Tenn.
