Dr. Chris Robinson is an assistant professor of Sociology at Covenant and will begin his first year as the faculty athletics representative in 2017-18.
Dr. Robinson has been a full-time faculty member since 2015, but has taught at the college since 2011. From 2015-17, Dr. Robinson also served on the athletic committee at Covenant. He earned his PhD from the University of South Carolina and an MDiv from Union Theological Seminary. Dr. Robinson earned his bachelor's degree from Anderson (Ind.) University, where he also competed on the men's tennis team.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Robinson heads up Project 52, a non-profit dedicated to completing 52 local service projects a year.
He and his wife, Lauren, live on Signal Mountain, Tenn., and have two daughters: Lillian and Marilee.
