Week 22:

(Feb. 13 - Feb. 18)

The baseball team earned a three-game series sweep over Emory & Henry College on the weekend. The two basketball teams had some tough defeats and now look to finish up the season strong in the final week of regular season action. Catch all the latest news from the week here.

Week 21:

(Feb. 6 - Feb. 11)

The spring sports are beginning to start as the Scots baseball team played their opening game of the season during the week. The Scots basketball team got another win, this time over Tennessee Temple in the final seconds of regulation.

Week 20:

(Jan. 30 - Feb. 4)

The Scots basketball team scored an upset over Great South Athletic Conference leader LaGrange College on the road. Bryant Engbers was named GSAC men's basketball Player of the Week. Read about the rest of the week in Covenant athletics here.

Week 19:

(Jan. 23 - Jan. 28)

This week held exciting games for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. On Wednesday, Covenant had a double header versus Piedmont College. On Friday, the men lost a nail biter against Rust College. The Scots’ record goes to 5-14 and 1-3 in the conference. The Lady Scots move to 5-12 and 4-5 in conference play.

Week 18:

(Jan. 16 - Jan. 21)

Week 18 for Covenant was slightly relaxed as the women’s basketball team played two games and the men only played one. The 5-11 (4-4 in the GSAC) Lady Scots started by winning their first game after a three-game losing skid. The women knocked off conference foe Spelman College. Both teams traveled to Huntingdon College on Saturday, but both teams were unable to come up with a win.

Week 17:

(Jan. 9 - Jan. 14)

Last week was the first week back to school for students at Covenant. The men’s and women’s basketball teams also had three games each during that busy week. The Lady Scots are now 4-10 and 3-3 in the GSAC after an 0-3 week. The men also went winless and their record is now 4-12 and 0-2 in the GSAC.

Week 15:

(Dec 5 - Dec 10)

Things in the Covenant athletic and academic scene begin to wind down as students experience their final week before exams.  The Scots and Lady Scots basketball teams continue action nonetheless and take to the road for a doubleheader at Oglethorpe, then split apart for weekend games against North Carolina Wesleyan College and Pensacola Christian College, respectively.

Week 13 & 14:

(Nov 21 - Dec 3)

After starting the season 3-0, the Covenant men's basketball team experiences its first loss after a nail-biting finish at Rhodes College.  Since then, the Scots gathered another victory over Sewanee but fell on the road to Emory University.  The Eagles were ranked 10th in the NCAA Div III and have since climbed to #5.  Also during the two-week period, the Lady Scots basketball team went 1-4 with the lone victory coming against Salem College in an early season conference matchup.

Week 12:

(Nov 14 - Nov 19)

Fall sports come to an end at the respective Mid-East tournaments in each sport.  Men's and women's soccer come away as runner-up.  At home, men's and women's basketball put on a show for the crowd of over 1,000 fans with the programs' first ever "Royal Blue-Out."

Week 11:

(Nov 7 - Nov 12)

It's the start of tournament time for the fall sports while the winter season for men's basketball begins with an exhibition opener against NCAA Div I Coastal Carolina.  Women's soccer advances through the early stages of the Mid-East tournament, and cross country ends its season at the national meet.

Week 10:

(Oct 31 - Nov 5)

Covenant celebrates seniors nights for the volleyball and men's and womens' soccer teams as the fall season begins to wind down.  Women's basketball begins its season with an exhibition game against a club team from the Dominican Republic.

Week Nine:

(Oct 24 - Oct 29)

As the fall seasons begin to come to a close, Covenant's cross country program performs well in the GSAC conference meet, its golf program sends two individuals to NCCAA Nationals, and all other fall teams find some form of success.  Men's and women's soccer both host thrillers that see a Scots game-winner late in play, while volleyball responds to its first loss in nine matches with two resounding wins on the road.

Weeks Seven & Eight:

(Oct 10 - Oct 22)

Fall break does not mean rest for Covenant athletics.  The Scots and Lady Scots have two successful weeks around the midway point of the season.  Volleyball goes a staggering 8-0, only dropping two games in the two weeks; men's soccer goes 3-0 with two conference wins; women's soccer goes 2-1-1 with two conference wins as well; and Covenant's cross country teams take another second place trophy!

Week Six:

(Oct 3 - Oct 8)

Sparks fly....quite literally....as both the men's and women's soccer teams bring home exciting wins to a Homecoming crowd at Scotland Yard to end the week.  Celebration included a brief fireworks display that was reported being seen in different parts of the valley.

Week Five:

(Sept 26 - Oct 1)

Covenant's athletic scene sees its first major homestand with men's and women's soccer hosting games throughout the week.  Volleyball and cross country spend Saturday on the road.  At the Maryville College Meet, the men's cross country team took the first place trophy for the second year in a row!

Week Four:

(Sept 19 - Sept 24)
Cross Country claims second place overall and first among Great South competitors in the GSAC Pre-Conference Meet, hosted by Covenant at the Chickamauga Dam.  The volleyball team cruises through an easy week with 3 wins while the soccer teams continue to struggle.

Week Three:

(Sept 12 - Sept 17)

The men’s soccer team comes home for the first time to grab its first win of the year; Covenant’s volleyball team continues to roll; and the Scots golf team takes second place in the Piedmont College Fall Invitational- the lowest finish in the last three years.

Week Two:

(Sept 5 - Sept 10)

The Scots and Lady Scots spend the majority of the week on the road, with tournament games and round –robins scheduled for the volleyball team and men’s soccer team.  Covenant’s cross country teams also compete at the Berry College Invitational where they begin to warm up for their successful season.

The varsity volleyball team starts a great season with two wins on the road. In addition, the men's and women's cross country teams are successful, beating a few NCAA division 1 teams. Meanwhile, the men's soccer team had a rough start with two loses while the women's soccer team strives to better their record.
